About the role:
Walr is hiring an IT Ops Engineer to join our Technology team.
Walr is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and administration across the company. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, managing IT systems, and ensuring a secure and efficient IT environment. You’ll work closely with users across all levels, requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues across hardware, software, and networks.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams, Intune MDM, SharePoint, and Security tools (Defender).
- Manage Windows system administration, Group Policy, and domains, DNS, and SSL configurations.
- Support ITSM tools, asset management, and procurement processes.
- Assist with security best practices, ISO 27001-aligned processes, and phishing campaign administration.
- Work across varying teams, including liaising with C-level executives.
- Support end-users across US time-zones.
Desired experience:
- 3+ years in an IT support/helpdesk role.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration (including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, and Intune).
- Experience with Windows system administration, Group Policy, and security tools.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, domains, and SSL management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell/CLI for automation and administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and attention to detail.

- Problem solver by nature: Ability to identify and anticipate issues, quickly adapting to solutions
- Strong communication skills: Business-level English comprehension and ability to communicate clearly, in writing and orally, with any teammate or key stakeholder, regardless of technical background
- Desirable skills: Exposure to macOS administration, Apple Business Manager, Power Automate, Slack administration, network troubleshooting, and WordPress are a plus
