Data Consultancy Executive
Why Walr?
Walr is the data collection company built for the fast and the ambitious. Founded in 2020, we exist to elevate the role of market researchers by removing the day-to-day heavy lifting so teams can focus on what matters: insight, recommendations, and impact. We do this through unmatched speed, and a unique blend of human expertise, proprietary technology and global audience reach.
Walr's success is driven by encouraging our people to think boldly, take ownership, and move fast together. We are now 180+ people across 4 continents, and only just getting started. Join Walr to be part of this growth story and create an industry-defining company in the process.
About The Role:
Walr is hiring a Data Consultancy Executive to join the European Team. You’ll own the delivery of projects through our ‘single point of contact’ (SPOC) delivery model, where one executive runs a project from start to finish, and you’ll support the wider team on our larger Full-Service projects.
This role is designed for someone at the start of their career. With training and support from experienced Data Consultants, you’ll quickly take full ownership of your own SPOC projects: programming the survey, managing fieldwork, checking the data and keeping the client informed throughout.
No previous market research experience is needed. We’re looking for someone curious, organised and detail-minded, who enjoys working with data and solving problems, and who is ready to take responsibility for their own client work.
Alongside your own projects, you’ll work with senior colleagues on Full-Service projects, building experience in running them end to end, which will set you up to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Owning SPOC Projects
Own the end-to-end delivery of your SPOC projects, from setup through survey programming, fieldwork and final data delivery, making sure they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Act as the client’s main point of contact on your projects, confirming requirements and timelines and giving clear, proactive updates.
Program and test surveys using the Walr Platform and our automation tools, checking survey logic, routing and usability before launch.
Manage live fieldwork, monitoring quotas, timelines and data quality, and working with sampling partners and internal teams when you need support.
Quality-check final data and deliverables to make sure they are accurate and match client requirements.
Spot issues early and resolve them, knowing when to bring in specialist teams or more experienced colleagues.
Supporting Full-Service Projects
Support Data Consultants in delivering high-quality data to clients, contributing to a consultative, service-led client experience.
Help align internal teams and clients on survey design, sample plans, timelines and deliverables, and suggest improvements along the way.
Support survey programming setup by testing surveys alongside our internal programmers, checking they are fit for purpose, on time and error free.
Help monitor sampling and data collection with the sampling team, tracking quotas and flagging where field strategy or timelines may need adjusting.
Work with our data processing team to check that final data deliverables are on time, error free and meet client specifications.
Contribute to client communication by preparing regular updates, and learn how to anticipate client needs, advise on trade-offs and escalate appropriately.
Build a strong knowledge of the Walr proposition, and of how our technology, audiences and team of experts come together to meet client needs.
Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting ways to improve the end-to-end data collection process, and by sharing client feedback with our product and technology teams.
With coaching from Data Consultants, grow towards owning simple Full-Service projects end to end.
What We’re Looking For
A degree, or equivalent experience, in any discipline. Subjects with a numerical, analytical or social science element are useful but not essential.
A genuine interest in data, research and how businesses use insight to make decisions.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach: you take care to get things right.
Logical thinking and an aptitude for problem solving, with the curiosity to pick up technical tools quickly.
A good working knowledge of Excel or similar. Any exposure to survey tools, coding, SPSS, Python or AI tools is a bonus, but not required.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to be a client’s main point of contact.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once.
A proactive, positive attitude and the confidence to take ownership of your own projects, while knowing when to ask for help.
What You’ll Get:
Structured training across survey programming, fieldwork management and data quality.
Day-to-day support and mentoring from experienced Data Consultants.
Your own client projects to run from early on, plus exposure to larger Full-Service work.
A clear path to progress to Data Consultant as your experience and responsibilities grow.
