We are looking for a software automation tester to bring automated testing to our development team. The team currently has fully functional manual software testing capabilities and we are now looking to add automation testing to our workflow.
We are looking for someone to become an expert user of our rapidly developing software in order to create sufficient and thorough tests for features. The role will also require training and upskilling of the current development team to create automated tests for their own work
Identifying and selecting the automation test cases
Integrating tests into current/new pipelines (yaml)
Applying various designs and documenting the automation test strategy
Automating the design of a framework
Coming up with exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling
Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases
Collating and monitoring the defect management process
Managing the changes and executing regression tests
Setting up Selenium or Cypress (or other modern test tools) from scratch
Create and implement an automation test plan
Ensure project work meets company guidelines, regulatory expectations, and product delivered meets specifications provided
Required skills and experience:
Experience with Selenium, Cypress or other modern test tools
Experience in web automation / UI testing
Experience with API testing
Working knowledge of distributed source control i.e. GIT
Desirable skills and experience:
Ability to set up and integrate API/UI testing into an existing CI/CD pipeline using yaml within Azure Devops and/or Github Actions.
Attention to detail: Dedication to precision and pride in applying a meticulous approach to coding and documentation
Continuous learner: Eager to learn new technologies and frameworks
